  • Reminders

    Brightwheel

Please feel free to leave messages in the app for the teachers regarding childrens schedule or any other updates you may have.

    Blankets And Pillows

Please remember to take home your child’s bedding every Friday to be

laundered. Before bringing them back to The Nursery check that the items are labeled and the name is still legible.

    Immunizations

All children 6 weeks to 5-years are required by the State of New Jersey to have a flu shot if they are in a group care setting by December 31st. Please make sure to provide proof that your child had had their flu shot. When your child has a check up and receive new new immunizations make sure to up- date the office so we can add them to our records here at the Nursery.

    Cold Weather Gear

The children do go outside during the winter as long as the weather is not bitterly cold. On some days the amount of time they spend outside is drastically reduced but we feel that getting fresh air is important for the children. Please make sure to send your child to The Nursery with a hat, mittens and a warm coat each day. Please also make sure to label all of your child’s outerwear.

    Recycle Your Plastic Bags

We reuse plastic grocery bags to dispose of soiled diapers. We are required to place any soiled diaper in a bag and tie it closed before placing it in the trash can. Instead of using new bags, we have decided to do our part for the environment and reuse those plastic grocery bags that take over your house. Please save them for us.

    Testimonials

When families are looking at child care centers for their children the most influential item is testimonies from other families. Many of you chose The Nursery because a friend recommended us. So many calls and visits are generated by all of you and we thank you!

    Illness Prevention At The Nursery

We are entering the time of year when colds and illnesses become widespread. At The Nursery we want to do everything possible to prevent the spread of illness. We ask that any adult entering our classrooms use the sanitizer located in the dispenser right outside each classroom door as well as the hallway entry before playing with the children or touching the toys or surfaces. We also recommend using the hand sanitizer after leaving the room to prevent you from picking up an illness.

For the health of everyone at the Nursery, please keep your child home if they are not feeling well. We understand that it is difficult to take time off from work but having your child stay home keeps the other children and the teachers healthy. It also allows your child to recover quicker. Also when your child is not well they are more susceptible to other illnesses.
